If you’ve ever filled out an application, you are likely familiar with talent assessment questionnaires. Assessments can vary in length and typically involve behavioral-based questions which allows companies to have a better perspective on each candidate.
At KinderCare, our teachers are the heart of everything we do. We set high standards for the level of care we provide our kids and the work environment in which we work. That is why we request an assessment – it helps us to better understand you! The assessment takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and takes place during the application process. We know 30 minutes is a lot of time – we truly appreciate your investment in us as you consider a career with KinderCare.

- Saves you time. Your participation in this questionnaire helps our hiring team understand your capabilities and qualifications before an in-person interview. This allows us to eliminate unnecessary questions during the interview - making the best use of your time.
- It’s a way we look beyond your resume. While we have basic qualifications for each job, assessments help us look beyond the resume - not just looking at how many years of experience you have or your education. Oftentimes what’s more important is your innate talent, big heart and passion for children.
- You understand YOU more. What’s not to love about a little self-discovery during the application process? Our assessment will help you understand how you thrive, what motivates you, and what roles are best for you. We are KinderCare after all, learning never ends with our kids.
- We eliminate hiring bias. Our assessments were created in partnership with Gallup to measure your innate skills and abilities for a particular role. This allows us to have a strong sense as to whether this is a great role for you based only on your special sauce.
- There is no report card. This isn’t school (yet 😊) and we won’t be sending a report on your responses because there is no wrong way to fill out this assessment. It’s important that you complete it honestly and quickly. We promise that the questions aren’t brain benders – you should choose the first answer that stands out to you. No second guessing! We want to get to know YOU!
