The profound gratitude we have for our people

At KinderCare, we reflect a lot on what we have and being grateful for it. In general, gratitude can easily fall into a negativity bias and get stuck there, especially when there’s so much to be stressed about. It’s human nature to focus on the negatives more than the positives. That’s why it’s so important to take a moment to focus on the positives.

This is not to say we need to be positive all the time. That would be toxic positivitiy. No, being grateful is about knowing where you are right now, and finding peace in what’s good. It can help put things into perspective and lighten the load a little.

Here are several things we are grateful for.

Grateful for our teachers

This one is a no-brainer. We wouldn’t exist without our incredible educators. From assistant teachers just branching into the field, to those who have been with us going on 10 years—we’re grateful for each and every one of the dedicated, responsible and creative professionals who are making a positive impact on kids.

Grateful for our support teams

Cooks, directors, and corporate roles—it takes a village to raise a child, and it takes one to keep up KinderCare running too. KinderCare support staff work hard to help teachers be able to focus on the most important thing: cultivating a positive environment for kids.

Grateful for lessons learned about social justice

Our world is an amazing, diverse place, and we want to celebrate all our many layers of uniqueness and differences. We appreciate the ability to listen and learn, and do the work we need to make communities feel inclusive and equitable. We also teach empathy, compassion and understanding to kids to make sure they grow up to be happy, show kindness to others, and make the world a better place. Grateful for our growth and development

Despite everything, we’ve been growing---opening new centers, new Champions sites, and supporting new families. We’re continually impressed by how much our teams achieve, and are looking forward to where we go next!

Grateful for our families

It’s humbling to receive the trust our families place in us every day by allowing us to teach and care for their children. Additionally, we’re grateful for our families at home, too—the ones who support our employees and are a part of our extended community together!
