The future we share banner

"The future we shape today is the future we share tomorrow.”

If you’ve spent any time exploring our new and improved career site, this is probably not your first time seeing that turn of phrase – and for good reason. It’s a key piece of the mission that drives and unites us here at KinderCare Learning Companies.

However, if you’re currently on the hunt for a new job or have been in the past, there’s no doubt you’ve seen and heard your fair share of mission-themed mantras. You’re forgiven if you skimmed by or scrolled on past, but what you might not realize is just how true it really is.

Yes, you really can shape the future when you work with kids.

For us adults, most days are just like any other day. Hours go by like minutes used to. Responsibilities fill our minds. We are who we are. Time gets hard to find.

For kids, it’s not like that yet. They are open books. They are filled with wonder and energy and imagination. For them, every moment is an eternity. Every interaction, every situation, every shred of wisdom has the potential to dramatically change how they see themselves and the world around them.

It can be difficult to remember much of those days looking back as a grown-up, but there is no doubt that who we are today and all that we’ve collectively accomplished is in large part a product of the experiences we had as children. The teachers and staff that guided us through all those years in the classroom might not have known it at the time, but they were building the foundation for the lives we now live. They were shaping the future that we now share with them.

In turn, your students’ future will someday be yours, too.

As an educator yourself now, you have the opportunity to pay it forward. You can play an important role in teaching the children in your care not only reading or math or science, but how to be a person. You can show them tolerance and respect, kindness and generosity, so one day they, too, can show those values to others. You can reassure them that it’s okay not to be perfect all the time, and that learning from mistakes is an important part of life. You can be the teacher they remember long after they’ve been done with school of any kind, because you were a teacher that helped them build confidence for life and get to where they dreamed they would go.

That’s exactly what you can do when you bring your skills and talents to the KinderCare team. We have open roles across the country, and we’d love to talk to you about joining us in shaping the future we will all soon share.
